How early should I book a mover for University of Arkansas move-in?+
Book 4–8 weeks ahead, especially after UARK Housing releases move-in appointments. Peak dates fill first; ask about last-minute availability.
How much does a local move in Fayetteville cost?+
Local moves are billed hourly, starting at $185/hr for two movers with a truck (2-hour minimum). Labor-only load/unload starts at $150/hr.
Do you do labor-only (load/unload) moves?+
Yes — you provide the truck or container and our crew loads and/or unloads, starting at $150/hr with a 2-hour minimum.
Can I ship my student’s items before move-in?+
Yes. After your Ship to Storage estimate is accepted, we send a private portal with shipping instructions. Eligible UARK residence hall students may add Early Move In.
Can Boss Hog deliver shipped items on move-in day?+
Yes. Choose scheduled pickup, delivery, or eligible Early Move In. Delivery, setup, and assembly are priced separately.
What is Early Move In?+
Early Move In is a standalone premium service through our University of Arkansas Housing partnership. Boss Hog delivers belongings into participating residence hall rooms during the July 30–August 4 early access window before students arrive. Ship-to-Storage is not required.
