How early should I book a mover for University of Arkansas move-in?+
Most families book 4–8 weeks ahead. Once University Housing releases move-in appointments, reserve right away — premium dates, preferred arrival times and full-service packages fill first. Last-minute requests can often still be accommodated.
How much does a local move in Fayetteville cost?+
Local moves are billed hourly, starting at $185/hr for two movers with a truck (2-hour minimum). Labor-only load/unload starts at $150/hr.
Do you do labor-only (load/unload) moves?+
Yes — you provide the truck or container and our crew loads and/or unloads, starting at $150/hr with a 2-hour minimum.
Can I ship my student’s items before move-in?+
Yes, after your Ship to Storage estimate is accepted. Boss Hog sends a private shipment portal link with instructions, then families can ship items to our storage partner before move-in. Eligible UARK residence hall students can also add Early Dorm Setup as a separate premium service.
Can Boss Hog deliver shipped items on move-in day?+
Yes. Families can choose Ship to Storage + Pickup, Ship to Storage + Delivery, or eligible Early Dorm Setup for participating UARK residence halls. Delivery, setup, and assembly options are priced separately.
What is Early Dorm Setup?+
Early Dorm Setup is a premium Ship-to-Storage add-on through our University of Arkansas Housing partnership. Boss Hog delivers approved stored items into participating residence hall rooms during the July 30-August 4 early access window before students arrive.
