We collect the following personal information when you request an estimate, book a service, or contact us:

Phone number (including mobile numbers used for SMS)

Move origin and destination addresses
Move date and service details (move type, size, special items, etc.)
SMS consent status — whether you opted in to receive text messages
Any additional notes you provide in an estimate or booking form

We also record website activity, such as estimate-button clicks, form stages, and field-error categories. Campaign tags, the entry page, and the referring website hostname help us understand how visitors find us. A first-party cookie and browser session storage keep this context for up to 30 minutes of inactivity; when you submit an inquiry, it is saved with the request. Our custom analytics events do not include the names, contact details, addresses, or notes entered in your form.

We do not collect payment card information directly — payments are processed through secure third-party processors.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your contact and move details to operate and deliver our services:

Provide estimates and confirm bookings
Schedule and coordinate your move or storage service
Send service-related communications (confirmations, reminders, crew updates, invoices)
Send post-move review requests
Respond to questions or support requests
Maintain internal records for billing and operations

We do not use your contact and move details for advertising, marketing campaigns, or any purpose unrelated to the service you requested. Website activity and campaign context help us improve the website and understand which sources bring useful inquiries.

3. SMS Communications

If you provide your phone number and affirmatively agree to SMS through a Boss Hog Moving Co. website form or our Meta instant lead form, you consent to service-related text messages about your estimate and move, including acknowledgments, confirmations, reminders, crew updates, invoices, and review requests.

These form agreements cover service-related messages only and do not authorize promotional or marketing texts.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP or by contacting us by phone or email. Get assistance by replying HELP.

We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.

Our website lead and estimate forms require a phone number and affirmative SMS agreement for an immediate text acknowledgment. Our Meta instant lead form has a separate optional SMS choice and agreement; you can submit that form without agreeing to texts. If you prefer not to receive texts, you may also request an estimate by phone or email. SMS consent is not a condition of purchasing any service.

4. Information Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell or rent your contact or move details, or share them with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share limited information only with:

Our internal team — to coordinate and deliver your service
Our CRM platform — to manage booking records and service communications (bound by confidentiality)
SMS delivery providers (e.g., Twilio) — solely to transmit messages you have consented to receive
Legal or regulatory authorities — only when required by law

We do not send your name, phone number, email, addresses, or form answers to Meta through the website Pixel. Browser activity measurement is described below.

Meta advertising measurement

Unless you turn it off, we load the Meta Pixel to measure page visits and accepted requests from our quick moving quote form. Meta (Facebook and Instagram) receives browser and device information, including IP address, cookie identifiers, and the page and referring website information used by its Pixel. This helps measure advertising effectiveness. We do not enable advanced matching or automatic form-field collection, and our events do not include your form answers.

Meta measurement is on by default. You can turn it off using “Meta measurement settings” at the bottom of any page, and a notice with that choice is shown on your first visit. Your choice is saved in this browser. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals by keeping Meta measurement off. Turning it off stops future Pixel measurement; it does not recall information already sent. Requests submitted while measurement is off are not sent later if you turn it back on.

After Meta measurement has started, turning it off, visiting an ineligible URL, or leaving the page keeps measurement off for the rest of that document. This also applies when the browser restores a cached page with Back or Forward. If you turn measurement back on, it resumes on the next full page load. We do not reload your page or change your form answers. This safeguard can leave some visits or requests uncounted.

This choice is separate from service-related SMS consent and does not change the site’s existing Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement. We store a random request identifier in browser session storage to avoid counting the same accepted request twice; this identifier contains no contact details.

Meta handles received information under its Privacy Policy. You can also manage advertising preferences through Meta.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide services, fulfill legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions to safeguard your data.

You have the right to:

Request access to the personal data we hold about you
